For Maws

I'm not bored with the view outside my window
But a picture of a landscape doesn't change
The feeling here's not a happy one
Seems there's plenty more where that came from
And it leaves me
And it leaves me

Thinking up my master plan
Going round Europe in a granny can
Stick a map on the roof
I'll be away
I don't need you
I'll laugh every mile
And phone every twelve
To tell you how far I've been
And when you're flying just look down
And you'll see me

This is a lovely place but I'd like to lock the door behind me
This is a lovely place but you'll just have to live without me
There's more than this and I want to be free
And it leaves me
It leaves me

Thinking up my master plan
Going round Europe in a granny can
Stick a map on the roof
I'll be away
I don't need you
I'll laugh every mile
And phone every twelve
To tell you how far I've been
And when you're flying just look down
And you'll see me

But for now I'm in the cave singing peace songs
To all the little soldiers in my head
Plant a flower using your song
Be happy for that moment
And when I'm flying I'll look down
And I'll see you
Are where you belong
You are where you belong
